CANADA: mainly 1-212-777-8457. I pick up receiver, hang up. An hour later same thing. sometimes as late as 10:45pm EDT. Never give up. Brown man thick accent. Really these people have no scruples, lying and scamming off $25 (last time I heard) from people. They are using a US line but calling from Mumbai or Bangladesh... I guess they and all from India and vicinity need to be branded as cheap thieves. Best to remember that if you say anything at all, then your are confirming that your telephone and name are valid...if they don't get the $25 from you to "fix your puter' they'll at least be able to sell your confirmed number and name to another !!

I received a call from this phone number this afternoon (Sep. 1st). The guy had an Indian accent, and pretended to be calling from Microsoft about error reports my computer was sending them. I asked him how he figured out it was my computer, he said MS has a central data system that receives such reports. When I asked him how this system can get my phone number from my IP address, he hung up.

Scammers asking for credit card info. lol i gave them fake info to see how far they'd go. They said I was approved! I gave them fake credit card numbers, I was still approved and they asked for more! They finally asked if I was lying and I said just like you & they laughed, said great one and disconnected!

Just answered the second call from this number — in both instances the person (female) identifies themselves as tech support with Microsoft. I've received this same scam from different numbers. The first one I filed a complaint with the FCC. How did my "do not call" cell phone number get on this scam list . . .

Tried to call me today to fix my problems with "Micro... soft Windows Computer Problems" which as they said have been "having virus problems" I told them that is why I don't use Windows. Hacker! A friend of mine was dumb enough to give them access to their computer and got information stolen. DO NOT GIVE PEOPLE REMOTE ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER unless you are the one that initiated the call!
