this caller said that they were from Windows and they had detected problems on our computer. He said he could keep it from crashing for $349.00. We fell for the scam. He seem to repair our computer. Several months later he call again say that our computer had be hacked and accounts were in trouble. This time he wanted $499.00 to repair, later lowering the price $199.99. After we said no our computer crashed. He told us that we would have to pay to restore our computer. We did not fall his scam again.

Called at 5:30 AM and 06:00 AM - no message. I called 425-406-9432, nothing happened. Unwanted calls began [including one from India] after receiving a call from "Jack Martin " Windows Tech Department" whom stated that a hacker had breached my computer. I heard him out, got his #424-256-1795 /LA. Contacted Microsoft [whom stated that Microsoft will never call a user], the tech cleaned up a few viruses. I called the number that "Jack" provided - after many rings, he picked up, and realized that he had contacted me earlier in the day. After a brief conversation, I asked him how he knew that me computer had been hacked. He kept asking if my Windows software was licensed or not - I responded with what difference would it make? he hung up.

Caller starts by telling you they have detected a virus on your computer. I have been getting calls like this for 2 years from different numbers, they don't stop. Last time they called, my daughter got on the phone and wasted their time. After they walked her through all the steps to find the "virus files" (as she was sitting on the couch with the computer off in the other room) she informed them in a rather irate tone that the computer just crashed and she demanded they fix it NOW. She then tried to get the caller's personal number, supervisor number and any other information to have someone in more authority talk to her and kept insisting that they need to fix our crashed computer, they hung up on her. That was almost a year ago, now they are calling again from a new number and new "support techs".
