I am in Florida and to the best of my knowledge the Troopers do NOT call asking for donations. Wait and see what comes in the mail to you then maybe you can file a claim against these scammers.

I got a call tonight at 8:30 - the person said he was so and so from the Florida State Troopers. he asked for a donation - when I said no, he said you could donate as little as $15.00 - Thinking it was a good cause, I said OK, he then said you know you can't use the donation as a tax deductable - I didn't say anything, and then he said I would be getting a packet in the mail in 3-4 days with a return envelope to send back my donation in, I said OK and that was the end of the conversation. My caller ID showed Ymax Communications Corp. and their phone number. After I hung up I started thinking about the call and whether it was really legimate and what this company had in common with the Florida State Troopers. I researched the company and phone number and found your site. Is this a scam? If so, I don't intend to send anything to them.
