1 call. VoIP Phone. Company: VodaPlex. Location: Lithonia Address: 100 Glenridge Point Pkwy N E #100, Atlanta, GA 30342 Listed as a reseller. This message puports to be a chance to win a Walmart Gift Card. I called back and pressed "1",. Talked to Jenny ????? Cage. Said Manager was not available; "please call back in 5 minutes." Meanwhile, I Googled the phone number, found it listed to VodaPlex: Meanwhile, I Googled Vodaplex and received information that looked like a legtimate business in “- Direct Sellers - Satellite Television - 4G Wireless ...” I also found an old Video entry posted by Larry Marbury: “Your decision to become a Vodaplex Reseller could change your life." This is a self-placed ad on My Brainshark http://my.brainshark.com/Vodaplex-Business-Overview-349661133. I called back: "Jenny" answered again (it sounds like a call center in the background) and politely connected me to her "Supervisor" who initiated the conversation with "How's it goin' ?" In response to my question, he or she identified him/hersalf as Chris Maxwell. In response to my question as to the company name: " Iprox Premium Rewards." His pitch was something like: "Your number was given to us by one of our marketing partners because you are a highly valued customer." Note: "highly valued customer " is a phrase used in the video. We will send you a $100 Walmart Gift card as a reward." "This is also an opportunity to try new products that you can return if you are not pleased but, either way, you can keep the gift card." I asked if I understood correctly that someone with whom I have done business sold my information to Iprox and THAT voided or bypassed my DO NOT CALL registry. The response was in the negative but that he or she would be glad to remove my number from the database and hung-up on me. When I Googled "Iprox Premium Rewards," I found "scam" complaints from all over the country regarding calls initiated from several different phone numbers.
