I got an call from this company saying that they are getting error signals from my computer whenever I use my computer. He said they are from Windows Server team but not Microsoft. The company is Mr. Tech. They asked me to turn on my computer so that they can show me the errors. This guys transferred me to his supervisor called Angela and she repeated the same. I asked them to send all the error report via mail so that I can review it. This looks like a scam trying to steal information from the computer.

The same SCAM attempt reported by others below. Bandwidth.com should be ashamed of providing VOIP to criminal boiler rooms. Is bandwidth.com criminally liable for abetting this scheme if it has been publicly reported that their facilities are being used in the furtherance of a criminal enterprise. Since we could all hear others doing the same thing in the background, this would RICO penalties apply?

same as other people. I heard at least 5 others in the background trying to use the same scam. Would not give out supervisors name, but did give me the 681-5111 number. What a crock of s***.

Caller named John with very thick accent. Claimed to be with windows and that my computer was sending out signals indicating it had a virus. Wanted me to turn in my computer and follow their directions to remedy the problem. SCREAMED scam.

Same as other comments. Individual with strongly accented English saying my computer was sending information to his company "Windows" something or other. Complete nonsense.

Caller said we might have a virus in our computer. Said she was a Microsoft technician. We received several of these calls last year - a real scam!

This caller had a heavy accent that appeared to be middle eastern. He insisted my computer was sending bad information. I asked for a call back number, will not call back - looks like a hacker or something dishonest to me. He claimed to be from Windows.

"John" with almost incomprehensible accent claimed my computer was sending error messages to his server. I asked the name of his company and got no answer. Asked what kind of error messages and no answer. I asked what my IP address and he had no answer. When I told him my computer was sending nothing anywhere as it had not been turned on, he said "sorry" and hung up. A new scam every day !
