My husband and myself found this number off of Expedia, the guy asked us which state we were looking for?! Had no idea about the hotel and said that they "partner" with this hotel. We called the actual hotel and the front desk manager said that they DO NOT work with a second partner on booking!

I had the same experience as others. Saw the number listed for a hotel on Expedia. When I called it, the guy who answered told me I had called Expedia (but he did not answer the phone that way). I asked him a question about the hotel, and then he pretended to be at the hotel! He kept trying to get me to book RIGHT NOW because there was only 1 room left. I told him I was looking online through Expedia and could see multiple rooms. He said I should book now and would not shut up. I asked him what rate he was showing, and he chuckled and replied "what rate are you seeing?" What a slimeball. Who are these people?? And why does Expedia list this phone number on multiple hotels? I hung up on the guy finally and recommend that you do too.

An Expedia phone number, which pretend to be the hotel. A waste of time.

Called number for hotel from expedia connection through tripadvisor ap on android phone. Woman said the hotel was booked and wanted to book me a room at another hotel after asking me what price range. I laughed and then said like the one I first asked about. The price she quoted seemed high so I hung up and we drove to the first hotel of our choice and they had rooms, we got the third floor king away from road and availed ourselves of the complimentary evening hors d'oeuvres and drink. Oh, and a lower rate than phone call wanted. Sorry Expedia, I will never click on anything to do with you again, and this number's slime will scam you for what they can.

I called this number off Expedia's website (also trying to book a sheraton) and the woman came on the line and asked what hotel I was looking for. What? I thought I was calling the Sheraton? She kept begging me to stay on the line and make the reservations for me. I had done some research for a Hilton hotel as well with a pretty good price and the number the woman quoted me for the same room was MUCH higher AND she claimed that it was a "great promotional price" with one room left. HANG UP THE PHONE, THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS.

I am a property manager at a motel on the East Coast and had a potential guest call to make a reservation and said this number was listed as the reservation number for my property and that when she called, a man answered and told her that my property was booked solid for the next YEAR and that she should reserve a room at "hotel X" in another location. What business is this number registered to??

I heard a friend was in town , at Hotel Tirol , Poiana Brasov , Romania so I decided to get a hold of the hotel's number so that I can reach that dude. What I actually got was a rude male telling me that if I want to buy I should use the site , although I repeated him thousands of times I was only interested for a link with a room phone. Ignoring that the number there appears everywhere on Expedia site , this is nothing more that a scammer!

Listed on Expedia to book a Sheraton Hotel. Gave them the name of the meeting I was attending and asked for group rate. Was told the group rate was the same as the one on Expedia. I asked if they were sure and they said yes. They then insisted that I "pre-pay" with my credit card. I told them I preferred to make a regular reservation, guaranteed with my credit card. Was told me this hotel was exclusively a "pre-pay" property and all reservations had to be pre-paid. They insinuated that this wasn't just through Expedia, but the entire hotel policy. I told them I would check into it and call them back. I called the hotel directly, and not only were they not a "pre-pay" only hotel, but the group rate for the meeting I was attending was actually $149 instead of the $189 I was quoted. When I called back later to speak with the center manager, I held 15 minutes and then someone in “customer service” came on the line. This is FRAUD. I will continue to seek recourse.
