866-866-3696 ripped me off for $499. Claiming to be a subsidiary company of Kaspersky the computer security company. They were out of India doing kasperskys hacking support. They downloaded malware onto two of my computers. Fraudulently representing they were protecting my computers but the next day without my permission they hacked my computers and were attempting to crash my computers. Don't let these scammers get your info! They take you time and money.

I was told they were tech support for Dell Microsoft and I did accept the help since I called what I thought was a legitimate tech support number for my computer. I feel very stupid since I don't know if they are legitimate or not and I also don't know what may have been installed behind the scene on my computer and now I am afraid to call any number for tech support no matter how legitimate they say they are. And I can't find out if these people are legitimate or not. So scary!

Hope other posters, new or old, can post what they hear or have heard, It may be very helpful to everyone, including myself. We would LOVE to switch!! That said THIS IS NOT A SPAM NUMBER (unfortunately). It's Cox Communications (cable, etc). They just left a message for us "in regards to your account" & while they never say it, they're calling to let you know your bill is overdue, you owe them money somehow, whatever?! They say to call them back but don't give a timeframe and NEVER say they're giving HOURS to fix it!!' Right AFTER a full payment!! They give you HOURS to fit it!
