Even if they are a real company they should not use a spam area code or block their identity this way. They have enough money to buy a real number!!!

Tbey claimed to be Ally Financial Corp. A finance company. I told them I don't verify or give any info out on 877 numbers. If they are who they say then mail stuff to me if they know where I am. That was it.

It is Ally Bank. If you bought a car recently, they will call you with an auto-dialer and chances are it will hang up. I got 3 hang up calls today before I called the number back myself and cursed out the guy on the other end. All they want to do is give you your account info if you want to set up online and stay "green" before you even get your first statement. I ended up giving them my address & make/model car I bought (would not give my SS#) before they actually gave me my account number and instructions to sign up for online account management. It took all of 5 minutes and he took my phone number off the list as I was doing it. If you pay bills online, it's actually a good have full access to your account less than a week after you buy your car. It's not a scam if you recently opened some sort of account with Ally.

Apparently it' Ally Bank trying to confirm information. They do not keep track of your 1st welcoming call and are just spam calling you until you tell them to stop.
