I attended a local museum yesterday, so this mysterious charge looks legit to me. $14 x 2 = 28. All good.

To all: If you call the phone # is is a Toyota dealer in Georgia. They said this is a scam and they get a couple of calls a month about it. File a complaint with your card holder... it is a scam!

Glad I found this thread. I couldn't figure out for the life of me what this was from, but we did go to the zoo here in Tucson yesterday, so that explains it. Thanks!

I too thought this was an unauthorized charge on my debit card. But after reading some of the other posts about non-profits and checking the blackbaud link someone previously posted it hit me that I recently sent submitted my children's private school re-enrollment and enrollment applications. Being that my son is entering Kindergarten I had to pay the new student application fee. So, at least for our family this is in fact a legitimate charge.

Heya, my name is Mike. I came to this site after looking up the number for a charge I didn't recognize. However, once I realized that this was potentially associated with a non-profit organization, the dollar amount matched a ticket purchase at the Long Beach Symphony Orchestra. I am pretty fastidious about protecting myself against fraud, so I can vouch it's legit. Call the number and talk to a representative. I do think it's really really REALLY lame that it takes 1-3 business days for the actual NPO's name and info to be listed in my bank statement, but I'm sure that's exactly why some people feel like it's a scam or fraud, especially since the transaction itself took over a week to even process the first time! The company Blackbaud would save themselves some headaches if they would just get on the ball about listing the proper name along with the initial transaction. So, just my two cents.

I saw this charge on my bank statement and it was for a local museum. Rather than pay the fees themselves, many local charities and public institutions will use this service for Credit Card billing. It's a bit confusing not to see XYZ Museum of Whatever, but it allows them to accept cards. Not a scam.

One other thought -- it also could be that the phone number 888-468-9966 is actually used by a legitimate business, and whoever is perpetrating this fraud is illegitimately using that phone number to run their transaction. I don't know.. I didn't call that number myself, but I don't mean to disparage whatever business that number belongs to since they may not have committed the fraud. But again, if you see this on your statement or fraud alert, be warned!
