Capital One

This has been an ongoing thing for the last two weeks. My mom and dad have recieved as many as 12 calls a day from these morons. I finally called back last night and the proceeded to ask for s.s # and account # for Capital One. This is a scam to get your personal info. DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY INFORMATION. I called Capital One and they said they NEVER ask for that type of info. Please inform your parents or any elderly person you know. Couldn't even pronounce my dad's first name correctly....and it's a common name!

This is capital one auto collections. They start calling as soon as your account is three days past due. And they call 10 times a day no matter what you tell them.

Contact the Federal Trade Commission to insure they are following the law concerning unfair practices

I hear you!!! They have done the same to us. It's constant through out the day..Very annoying. They start using back lines so you do not know who is calling..

I called Capital One TWICE and verified that this number does NOT belong to Capital One. If you call it repeatedly, you get the same five or six people. They're trying to steal your information. Anyone on this site who says this number is legitimately a Capital One number is wrong and, may be in on the scam. Go to www.donotcall.gov and file a complaint. Let's see if we can get these f---ers shut down... today.

This is the most persistant harrassing telephone caller I have ever heard of in my life. I have no idea who this is and they don't leave a voicemail. They call up to 16 times a day. HAHA!

This is not Capitol one they are phishing for your info. I messed witht he guy for 10 minutes and told him the number was being traced by federal authorities and he immediatly hung up. They are now calling my cell my home and my office so i continue to mess with them, They are in a country overseas i am sure trying to steal anyones info dumb enough to give it to them, DO not give them anything and report them every chance you get so all know about them.

Paved my bill and have been paying my bill and they still call 4 times a day. The idiots are harassing me for no reason. Don't ever do business with them! THEY WILL PHONE STALK YOU!

I got a call from a man that had a heavy Indian accent. He claimed I owed a bill from "Energy Star Electric Company." I never heard of it. When I asked him when was it, he told me the call was being recorded and that I owed this bill from 2003 and the amount was $474.00. I said I didn't owe that. I asked him where the bill was from, he wouldn't tell me, just asked for my address and Social Security number. I told him again I didn't owe it and hung up. Obnoxious. Also, it isn't the first time he called, it was just the first time I answered.

I have re-dial when they call I re-dial this number 10 times. Lets everone start doing it now, and see how long they last

It is Allied Interstate for Capital One calling. Probably from India or at the least, overseas. They look for people who's names you cannot even pronounce on your number. Call them from a landline and tell them to remove your number from their list. They say it will take 24 hours from the time you call. I personally threatened to sue Capital One AND Allied Interstate if my number was NOT removed.

Its not "spam" its capital one billing. They only call you when u owe a bill. Calls are auto-loop, if u don't answer your number goes back in2 the loop and you will be called again..... sometimes multiple times a day. If you want these calls to stop, answer the phone and speak to them.

They call from 8 AM to 9 PM every day, every 1/2 to 1 hour, seven days a week. This is a business phone, with voice mail and they leave no message. If you answer they say nothing, you hear noise in background sounding like other people making phone calls. this is harassment calling.

They are nothing more than debt collectors trying to collect for capital one credit card...I have gotten several phone calls from them and other debt collectors...Apparently if one can't get the job done they sell it to another debt collector and see if they can get it done. They always leave a voicemail saying they have a summons ready to be sent out and need me to contact them within 24 hours...well, it's been about 4 months of them calling and i haven't seen anything yet.

I am getting calls from this number at all hours of the day & night. Mr. Number does an excellent job performing the "PICK UP & HANG UP" on my end. Also, do yourself a favor. File a formal complaint with the FTC online each time this happens. It is the job of the FCC to put a stop to this line of behaviour from businesses. MAKE THE FTC DO THE DAMN JOB THEY ARE BEING PAID TO DO VIA ALL OF THE DAMN TAXES WE PAY. IF YOU DON'T MAKE COMPLAINTS THEN WHO IN THE HELL WILL ?
